Born Naima Bint Harith around Omdurman, Sudan, she is the daughter of an Egyptian archeologist father, Harith Bin Farouk, & the Gisi-Waaq Oromo mother named Jiddi & raised as a muslim. Her parents were murdered before of her for making denunciation against Arab-Islamic practices around Sudan of oppressing & enslaving Black Sudanese.
